In this regard, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs Office of Government of India has written through its Office Letter No: 05/01/2019-CSR Dated 23.03.2020 that contribution of CSR Funds for Covid-19 is eligible CSR activity. It is further added that Only Indian Citizens/organizations can contribute to this account from their account within India as per Government Rules and regulations. Foreign Remittances from people, who are not citizens of India, will not be accepted by District Relief Fund Society, Jalandhar.
